This team-based athletics carnival serves as the qualification event for the National Schools Challenge in Queensland on December 9, 2024. Schools can enter multiple teams in various age and gender categories, with no entry restrictions. Athletes will compete in age groups based on their year of birth, and the top two athletes in each event will qualify for the WA State Team to compete in the Australian All Schools Championships

WA State Relay Championships Powered by Go For 2&5

Each Centre may nominate one team per age group and gender for the track relay (consisting of 4 to 5 athletes) and one team for the field events relay (comprising 2 to 4 athletes). Athletes competing in the track relay are not permitted to participate in the field relay and vice versa. All athletes must wear their Centre uniform.

WA State Combined Event Championships

This event at WA Athletics Stadium welcomes all Little Athletics and Strive members across various age groups, with no qualification criteria for entry. Athletes compete in categories based on their year of birth, ranging from Under 11 to Open. Participants take part in multiple events, earning points based on their performance rather than their placing, allowing any number of athletes to represent their Centre.

The event also provides a pathway to qualify for the Australian Combined Event Championships and the Little Athletics Australia U15 Combined Event Championships. The top three finishers in designated National Qualification events will be considered for State Team selection for the Australian Combined Event Championships. In the U15 age group, the top nominated athlete will be selected to represent the State Team in Adelaide at the Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships. To be eligible, athletes must be registered members of the Little Athletics Program.
